Bella Bella Stories – Lexi’s Big Day!

One of our first surgeries in our Bella Bella Clinic was lovely Lexi.   She had a litter of puppies several weeks prior to the CAAT team arriving and had a mammary infection so her pups were weaned early.     Her infection was cleared up with antibiotics and she came to the CAAT clinic to be spayed.    We followed Lexi through her day to give you a peek into how things went …

Our surgical prep team, Nicole and Shari, handle her with great care as they examine her and give her a sedative to make her less anxious.

Lexi is feeling relaxed and sleepy so she can have her catheter placed before surgery without any stress

All done, she has moved to our recovery area and is receiving post surgical care from our recovery team, that includes lots of snuggles !!!
Lexi will feel comforted and safe while she continues to wake up thanks to one of our wonderful local volunteers, Nevada.
