Field Hospital Set Up

The day of arrival is always one greatly anticipated by all.   Months of emails back and forth to make sure everything is organized and the day finally arrives!     Our supplies arrived yesterday, thanks to Nicole and Kim, two team members willing to drive the entire length of Vancouver Island and then take a 5 hour ferry ride to Bella Bella on BC Ferries (thank to the donation of travel vouchers!).     Team member Darci arrived as well and with the help of a couple of very willing local volunteers we were able to set up the temporary hospital, ready to get started!    The rest of the team arrived in the late afternoon via Pacific Coastal Air (thanks to the generous support of this airline!)

Some team members met for the first time, some were old friends from previous projects but everyone connected and, if history dictates, will become very fast friends in the next few days.    We had our first team meeting to make sure we were all ready to work tomorrow morning when the temporary hospital facility opens.   Can’t wait to get started!
