CAAT News 2023

2023 was a fantastic year!!! We returned to Bella Bella and Klemtu and Burns Lake in British Columbia to provide access to veterinary services in communities we have been working with for a few years. We returned to Ross River in the Yukon and completed our work there and we started a new community partnership in Pelly Crossing, in the Yukon as well. The Selkirk First Nation council in Pelly Crossing, have entered into a partnership with CAAT to work toward a Community Animal Management Plan (CAMP) that will be locally run and locally driven. We met with local teachers, Chief and Council and community members to listen to everyone’s concerns. We did a dog bite safety prevention presentation for the children, we held a Pet First Aid Workshop and provided spay/neuter and vaccination services for those in need. We are so excited to be part of this initiative! What a great year!!!
