CAAT in Ahousaht

Ahousat map

On Friday, CAAT kicked off its fourth Animal Wellness Clinic in the Ahousaht First Nations community on the far west coast of Vancouver Island.

After arriving by boat from Tofino and setting up the temporary hospital, 14 CAAT team members and three CARES members (Coastal Animal Rescue and Education Society from Tofino) were ready to meet and treat patients.

And local pet owners did not disappoint – they braved torrential rainfall to bring in their cats and dogs for spays, neuters, vaccinations, physical exams and deworming.

A special thanks to the BC SPCA who helped make this project possible.
