Trips & Projects

The Canadian Animal Assistance Team is a volunteer-driven program. Our ability to provide veterinary services and education is entirely dependant upon the dedication and hard-work of our team members who donate their time and join us on our projects.

All volunteers are required to submit a non-refundable deposit of $250 for each project they will be participating in. Deposit funds will help to cover travel expense such as airfare. Volunteers will also be responsible to personally fundraise and / or pay for the costs of half of their airfare to and from the project. Accomodations and meals will be provided and are of no cost to the volunteer.

Please do not send your deposit until you have received an e-mail confirming your acceptance on the project.

Travel insurance, including medical coverage, is required by each volunteer. Please contact the Travel Clinic nearest to you to ensure you have received and are up to date on all necessary vaccines recommended by the country in which the project will take place.

Other Possible Animal Wellness Projects

The Kadavu, Fiji Project originally scheduled for February of 2008 has had to be postponed until February of 2009. Please watch for updates and application / deposit deadlines for this project in June 2008.
